  5. Trust your feet. You must, and you can, carry your own weight.
  6. Bring only what you really need. All you really need is whatever will help you get to your destination.
  7. Always wear sunscreen.
  8. Clean, cold water is a gift from God. Drink as much of it as you can.
  9. Stop from time to time. Take a good long look at how far you’ve come.
  10. When in doubt, breathe. When certain, breathe.
